Juan Pablo and Nikki Ferrell Returning to Reality TV on Couples Therapy

Oh man, we sure have missed Juan Pablo Galavis on our televisions! Said no one. The Season 18 Bachelor turned down the regular publicity tour following his March 10 finale, in which he told Nikki Ferrell he liked her, but now it seems he’s heading back to reality TV! Reality Steve first reported the news today (May 29) that JPG and his girlfriend, Nikki, will be joining the cast of VH1’s Couples Therapy when Season 5 premieres on September 10.

Miami-based Juan Pablo and his 27-year-old girlfriend have not been officially announced as part of the cast list, and E! says it’s because Juanny P’s contract with ABC isn’t up until August. They will be joining porn star Jenna Jameson and MMA fighter John Wood, Big Brother’s Dick Donato and Stephanie Rogness-Fischer, Naughty by Nature’s Anthony Criss and Cicely Evans, and Jersey Shore’s Deena Cortese and Chris Buckner. If you’ve never heard of any of these people, the roses are in the mail.

Just a week after their finale aired, Juan Pablo and Nikki were spotted in Miami having lunch with Marriage Boot Camp counselors, Jim and Elizabeth Carroll. While we wondered at the time if they’d be joining Bachelorette Season 1’s Trista and Ryan Sutter at boot camp, it was actually filmed last year. Plus, there’s that whole “marriage” aspect built in that they don’t quite fulfill.

According to Courtney Robertson’s new book, I Didn’t Come Here to Make Friends: Confessions of a Reality Show Villain (available for pre-order here), she and then-fiance Ben Flajnik were each offered $40,000 to go on the show after The Bachelor Season 16. Reality Steve thinks Juan Pablo and Nikki were likely offered the same amount for their three weeks of “work” filming the show.

Will going on the show make their relationship stronger? Who knows, but at least it will fortify their piggy banks.

What do you think of Juan Pablo and Nikki joining Couple’s Therapy? Are they doing it for the “right reasons” or just the right paycheck?
