After all the crazy drama they’ve endured since meeting on The Bachelor Season 18, we can’t say we would blame Juan Pablo Galavis and Nikki Ferrell for wanting to get away from it all for a little while. And apparently, they’re planning to do just that.
With the finale behind them, Nikki and Juan Pablo are finally able to hang out publicly after four months apart. And while time apart can be tough on any couple, we imagine it was especially hard for these two, since Juan Pablo presumably had a lot of ‘splaining to do as Nikki watched the episodes. Now, the couple will regroup for a bit at his place in Miami and then jet to the Caribbean.
"She will be staying with him” in Miami for a few days, according to an E! Online source. Then, “they're headed to the Dominican Republic for a vacation." The couple plan to pay for their vacay out of their own pockets, since they are doing their best to disavow themselves from ABC’s watchful eye. However, given what we’ve heard about JPG’s pocketbook, we’re not sure how wise that is.
That said, we think a vacation is a good call, so they can just relax and get a chance to rekindle things — or kindle things for the first time, as the case may be for Juan Pablo. But it’s the Miami part of the equation we’re having a little trouble wrapping our heads around. Like, they’re going to be living at his place — where his parents also live? (And his baby mama, daughter, sister, and sister’s kid too, if Reality Steve is right.) Sounds like a great idea for a fledgling couple.
Then, after the trip, they hope to live together in some yet-to-be-determined location. “He told her to pick a city, and they'd move there," says a source. However, Nikki reportedly doesn’t want to quit her job as a pediatric nurse “until she knows it's really serious,” which makes total sense to any logical person.
Again, this plan isn’t sounding like it’s particularly well thought-out. Like, they’re both just going to randomly show up in some new city and start new lives together? Are they in witness protection or something? And so, while we wish them the best, it’s clear they still have a lot to figure out.
What do you think of their plans for the future?
