The Vampire Diaries will never win an Emmy — silly Academy and its inability to take supernatural CW dramas seriously — but at least it's normally showered with nominations from the People's Choice Awards, and this year is shaping up to be no exception. Voting for nominations are currently open, and we have no doubt the show will do well, like always.

What does star Nina Dobrev have to say about the show's continued success in the People's Choice awards? The starlet took to Twitter to express her delight after receiving a notification that she's in contention to be nominee for the Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Star category.

"Now THIS is THE BEST way to start your day," she wrote. "One email. Exciting news. Biggest smile on my face! :D Feeling the love …"

Aww. Of course, for Nina to really feel the love, you need to get out and vote her into one of the nominee spots, which you can do at the People's Choice Awards website.

Like the show itself, Nina is not new to People's Choice love. She was nominated for Favorite Drama TV Actress last year, and won the category in 2012, based on a write-in, no less. Will she be able to add another crystal trophy to her shelf this year? We certainly hope so!

Are you voting vote Nina? Sound off in the comments below!
