Before she was capturing the hearts of the Salvatore brothers on The Vampire Diaries, Nina Dobrev was a young Canadian actress getting her first taste of fame on long-running teen soap, Degrassi: The Next Generation, back in 2006.

Nina starred as Degrassi student — and teen mom — Mia Jones. During her three-season stint on the series, Nina appeared in over 50 episodes, and she even starred in the 2009 made-for-TV movie, Degrassi Goes Hollywood. Nina dropped out of the Degrassi the same year to pursue other projects in America, and luckily for us, she booked The Vampire Diaries shortly after. (Sorry ‘bout it, Ashlee Simpson!)

Check out Nina then, as a fresh-faced Mia Jones on Degrassi, and now, at The Vampire Diaries 100th episode celebration, and tell us what you think of her transformation in the comments!
