Norman Reedus Urges Ban on Animal Testing Via Adorable Picture With Cat
Real men love cats! And all other animals.
The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) continues to be our spirit guide in all ways kind and awesome, including advocating for fans to shop cruelty-free this holiday season, and to push for an end to cosmetics testing on animals.
Norman — along with the also amazing Peter Dinklage of Game of Thrones— has teamed with Cruelty Free International to encourage fans to join the campaign in 2014.
“New Year is an exciting period as we make resolutions and contemplate what the next 12 months will bring,” Norman said (via Go Cruelty Free). “Please make sure of one thing, however, and that is to make 2014 a compassionate one by only shopping for cruelty-free products which feature the Leaping Bunny logo. Please support Cruelty Free International and its global campaign to ban cosmetic tests on animals…if we all do just that then perhaps we can make 2014 the year in which we helped to save the lives of thousands of animals.”
Norman was first revealed as a Cruelty Free International member this past August. The proud cat papa melted our hearts by posing with a beautiful cat named Lola while championing the rights of the defenseless: "Scores of countries around the world are beating the U.S. to become cruelty-free by banning cosmetics tests on animals. Nobody wants rabbits or guinea-pigs to suffer for our vanity, least of all the animals. Let's stop their suffering right here, right now. Join me in supporting the Cruelty Free International call to Congress and the FDA to bring an end to animal testing for cosmetics in the U.S."
