Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) is busy filming The Walking Dead Season 5 in and around Atlanta right now, but that doesn’t mean that the talented actor can’t mull over parts on other shows. We’re not really talking about a starring role, since that would be difficult to arrange scheduling-wise, but surely Norman could find some time to film a cameo or a small part on another show, right?
It just so happens that Mindy Kaling — star/showrunner of The Mindy Project and a self-professed TWD superfan — has said that she’d love to have Norman on her FOX comedy, and it sounds like the 45-year-old is totally game. Say what?!
“I would love to be on her show,” he told Gold Derby during a recent interview after being informed that Mindy wants him on TMP. “I saw her on Talking Dead, and she was great.” Not only do we bet Mindy would be ecstatic to learn that Norman wants on her show, but we also think the comedian would love to hear that he thought she was “great” on Talking Dead.
Mindy appeared on the Chris Hardwick-hosted after show back in February during Season 4, and although we were big fans of her turn on the couch, one Twitter follower bashed her for not being a true fan and not really watching the AMC hit, even labeling her the “worst Talking Dead guest ever.”
Mindy naturally took offense to that and set the “fan” straight, but we bet some praise from Norman is bound to make her feel a lot better about the whole thing, don’t you think? Plus, if Norman does end up popping in on The Mindy Project, we have a feeling he might be cast as Mindy’s potential love interest (just a lucky guess!), which could be interesting for Mindy and Danny.
