Norman Reedus’ Last Name Is Now a Verb in Urban Dictionary

You know you’ve made it when your name hits Urban Dictionary.

Congrats to The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon), whose surname is being referenced by hipsters. Norman tweeted a link to his UD page on June 17, just writing, “yes.” So this listing has an official endorsement:

(verb): to lick someone's face. Created because of actor Norman Reedus's penchant for licking people's faces.

"He's so fine I just want to reedus him."

"He reedused me and it was so hot."

At least all of Norman’s face-licking hasn’t gone to waste! The examples refer to hot men — which is appropriate for Norman — but he’s also a big animal lover, and you could take it to a PG level to note how your dog was so glad to see you come home, he reedused you. Or whatever.

What do you think? Will you try to fold this into your vocabulary? You can impress your friends with “reedus” as your Word of the Day! And maybe someday they’ll add a second definition to honor Norman’s other penchant — for flipping people off. Or maybe that’s pulling a “norman”?

The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres in October on AMC.
