Phaedra Parks “Not Really Trying to Focus” on Apollo Nida’s Prison Time, Says Co-Star

Less than a week ago Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks’ husband, Apollo Nida, was sentenced to eight years in prison for identity theft and bank fraud, but you wouldn’t know it based on her recent actions.

Phaedra has kept suspiciously quiet on social media (even Apollo sent out a few brilliant tweets since his sentencing), but even more telling was the fact that Apollo’s wife and the mother of his two children — Ayden, 4, and Dylan, 1 — chose not to be present at his sentencing.

It will likely be some time before Phaedra comments on her husband’s legal situation (if she ever does), but that doesn’t mean Ms. Parks’s friends aren’t going to offer updates on how she’s doing. In fact, just days after Apollo was sentenced, Kandi Burruss spoke to and revealed how her pal is holding up.

“Phaedra’s doing great,” Kandi began. “She’s basically working. That’s how I deal with things, too; when I have a lot going on, I just put more into work.”

As we know, RHoA Season 7 began filming last week, and Kandi says her former bridesmaid has other projects in the hopper as well, which she’s using as a distraction from everything going on with Apollo. “I know that she’s promoting her book and doing the book tour and stuff like that, and she’s not really trying to focus as much on what’s happening,” Kandi offered.

Everyone has their own way of dealing with a crisis, but do you agree with Phaedra’s choice to throw herself into her work? Sound off below!
