Kim Kardashian Clears The Air About Offensive Speech in New Video Game

Who'da thunk Kim Kardashian would have the most popular smartphone game on the market? Definitely not us, but it seems the success of Kim Kardashian: Hollywood is being overshadowed by controversy this week.

One user (via Buzzfeed) shared some pretty shocking screenshots from her game which had many wondering if the game was programmed to make your character say some very offensive things. However. Kim took to her blog on Friday, July 25, to clear the air.

Turns out, the game experience user Christina Lu encountered was not part of the official licensed version of Kim's game. "I have to clarify a false report about my new game app," Kim writes in a blog post entitled "Clearing the Air."

"The screenshots in this article show some offensive greetings being used, which are from a hacked version of the game — not the REAL version. To clarify: Nothing inappropriate is included in any part of my game! Just wanted to clear the air. Thank you for all the support so far. I'm glad you are loving the game as much as I do! Xo"

We're really relieved to find this out. For would-be gamers wondering how to avoid downloading the hacked version of the game: Make sure GluGames Inc. is the game distributor. Accept no imitations!
