Watch Olympic Ice Dancers Perform to Beyoncé’s “Drunk in Love”

One of Beyoncé’s many hot singles just got put on ice. Some clever interwebbing fiend took the performance of two world-class athletes, added a pinch of Bey, and made video magic. We present to you, Drunk in Love: The Ice Dance.

The performance stars Meryl Davis and Charlie White, both of whom are currently over in Sochi for the 2014 Winter Games. In fact, the six-time national championship duo just took home a bronze medal! Unfortunately, it wasn’t to a Beyoncé song.

Using footage of Meryl and Charlie dancing at Skate America in October 2013, the dubbed video plays “Drunk in Love” as the performers skate around the rink. Somehow or other (chalk it up to the universal amazingness that is Beyoncé), the song almost perfect syncs up with the pair’s routine.

Meryl and Charlie, who have been performing together for 17 years, actually did their free dance number to classical piece “Scheherazade” by Russian composer Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, an homage of sorts to the host country of this year’s Olympics. The duo ended up taking home a gold at Skate America; watch that original, un-Beyoncé-tized version here.

Now there’s obviously only one way for Meryl and Charlie to celebrate their stellar year: cigars on ice, cigars on ice.
