The wait for a new episode of The Walking Deadcontinues, though we get closer to the Season 5 premiere of TWD with each passing day. Just think about it this way: The Season 4 finale aired nearly three months ago, and the once six-month hiatus has already been reduced to a more manageable four months and counting.
Plus, the cast has been back on set for more than seven weeks now, so at least we’re getting new info every now and then, like this first shot of Season 5, which shows Rick opening the Terminus train car. We even have some more solid info about the Season 5 premiere, which director Greg Nicotero said has the scope of an “entire movie.” Comic book creator and show executive producer Robert Kirkman also said the Season 5 opener will have “a ton” of answers. We’re getting antsy already! And if you need to catch up on TWD and want even more info about Season 5, then don’t forget about the “Dead, White, and Blue Marathon” over July 4 weekend.
So while it may be a Sunday, we regret to inform you that the AMC hit concluded its fourth season several weeks ago so there’ll be no new episode on June 29. Instead, let us recall the heart-stopping season finale of Sunday, March 30.
Now for some good and bad news. The bad news: Season 5 of the hit show isn’t scheduled to debut until October 2014. We don’t have a specific date to give you just yet, but based on the schedule from years past, our money is on Sunday, October 14, for TWD’s long-awaited Season 5 start.
But wait, we promised you some good news, right? The good news is that while we might have several months to wait before we can catch a brand-new hour of TWD, we already have tons of scoop on Season 5. Click the link to check out all of the great info we have for you and feel free to share your hiatus plans below!
The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres in October 2014 on AMC.
