We love all of Once Upon a Time’s many, many mysteries, but sometimes it seems like each episode introduces more questions than answers. To that end, we’ve tackled the 10 biggest questions from this week’s episode in order to make sense of everything that happened.

Here are 10 questions from Season 2, Episode 12: “In the Name of the Brother.”

1. Is Whale also the Wizard of Oz?
We’ve been wondering if Dr. Whale/Frankenstein(David Anders) is also the Wizard of Oz, since Whale has often been called a “wizard.” And this week’s episode seems to provide another clue to that effect, as the show makes a point of showing us that he and Ruby (Meghan Ory) are sitting on yellow-painted bricks during their chat. Yellow brick road, anyone?

2. Is it now safe to assume Baelfire is definitely Neal Cassady?
We’ve been pretty certain from the get-go that Neal is Bae, especially after August (Eion Baily) somehow convinced Neal to hit the road in Season 2, Episode 6: “Tallahassee.” But now that Gold’s globe points to New York as Bae’s destination which is where Neal is residing it seems clear that Neal and Bae are one and the same. Mystery (hopefully) solved!

3. What favor does Gold want from Emma?
We’ve been waiting on pins-and-needles since last season to find out what favor  Emma (Jennifer Morrison) will owe Gold, and now he’s cashing it in. We know Emma will be heading out with Gold to find Bae, but we don’t know exactly why. Could this be yet one more hint that Bae is Neal, as perhaps Gold knows Bae is also Henry’s father?

4. Why could the stranger successfully lie to Emma?
The people of Storybrooke assume Greg is just some food pic-snapping nobody. But the fact that he gets Emma to believe his lie about driving while texting makes us wonder who he really is, and why Emma’s lie-detecting power doesn’t work on him. And does the fact the woman in his phone is called “Her” mean she’s his mistress? This dude has all kinds of secrets.

5. When will Belle get her memories back and why did she have to smash the cup?!
If you’re like us, you went through about ten thousand boxes of Kleenex after seeing the look on Gold’s face after Belle (Emilie de Ravin) destroys the chipped cup. (Why, Belle? Why?!) We find it hard to believe Belle has gone from being the sweetest person ever to being the kind of person who would randomly smash someone’s prized possession. Long story short: Someone get the super glue!

6. What is Cora’s plan with Regina?
Cora (Barbara Hershey) did her best to convince Regina (Lana Parrilla) she’s now the type of cuddly, affectionate mother who would get mani-pedis with her daughter on a regular basis, but forgive us if we’re not quite as gullible. And now with Cora appearing to have a plan to get Henry back, we’re nervous as to what it will entail. Very nervous.

7. Uh, so Gold and Cora used to hook up?
Almost everything Gold does is motivated by a hidden agenda, so we’re wondering if his hooking up with Cora falls under that category as well. If nothing else, his love life is now a lot more complicated than we realized, as we see him kiss Cora not long after he’d kissed Belle at the hospital. We didn’t know you had it in you, Gold!

8. Will Ruby and Whale become a thing?
Neither Ruby nor Whale have had much luck in the romance department, so it might kinda cute for them to spark up a relationship, especially after they connected during Ruby’s little pep talk. Let’s just hope Whale has better luck than Ruby’s previous (and apparently delicious) boyfriend.

9. Does this mean Whale will never bring anyone back from the dead again?
Whale’s backstory was tough to watch, with Whale relaxing as his reanimated brother beat their father to death. Bad times. For good reason, it now seems Whale is done with trying to bring people back from the dead. So does this mean we officially have to give up our dreams of adorable Graham (Jamie Dornan) coming back to life?

10. Could Regina be Rumple’s daughter?
Okay, so this one’s a little bit wacky. But now that it appears Cora and Gold used to make magic together (so to speak), we can’t help but wonder if Rumple might also be Regina’s father. Someone get Maury on the phone, stat.
