There were a few things we predicted for Once Upon a Time’s epic Season 2 finale (Episode 22: “And Straight On ‘Til Morning”), but Peter Pan’s role was one we never could have guessed.

Though we already knew that this version of Peter Pan was an evil creature, there was no indication that he would have any part in present-day Storybrooke, let alone with Emma (and Regina)’s son, Henry! But alas, he does, and it doesn’t look pretty.

After Storybrooke was saved by the combination of Swan Queen’s magic, we discovered that it was all a giant distraction so that Tamara and Greg could kidnap Henry. Apparently, as they explained to the boy as they dragged him away, they initially came to destroy magic, but found something much bigger — him.

Flash back to Neverland: the Lost Ones (aka the evil Lost Boys) grabbed Baelfire from Captain Hook’s ship, but they actually needed someone else: Henry! To our knowledge, he wasn’t even born yet (then again, the timeline of the show is utterly confusing), but they had a sketch of him, and what Peter Pan wants, Peter Pan gets.

Toward the end of the episode, Tamara and Greg jump into a portal with Henry, and thanks to Rumple’s magic, we find out that they are in Neverland. Clearly, Peter has a hold on Tamara and Greg — could he be involved with their “Home Office”? We thought that Wendy might be part of it since she’s so opposed to magic, but maybe Peter is the one trying to keep magic out of the world, aside from his Neverland realm. He’s creepy and probably greedy, so it makes sense.
