Thanks to her role as Snow White on Once Upon a Time, Ginnifer Goodwin is no stranger to playing iconic parts. It turns out that's a good thing, because she's about to tackle one of the most recognizable female faces in American political history: Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Ginnifer has been cast opposite Rob Lowe (as John F. Kennedy) in an upcoming National Geographic Channel TV movie, Killing Kennedy. They are joined by Michelle Trachtenberg as Marina Oswald, wife of Kennedy assassin Lee Harvey Oswald.
The movie is based on the Bill O'Reilly bestseller, Killing Kennedy: The End of Camelot, and is timed for the 50th anniversary of Kennedy's assassination. National Geographic Channel president Howard T. Owens calls it "timely, authentic and entertaining material." With this cast, we're pretty confident the entertaining part is guaranteed!
The legendary Jackie O will be a bit of a departure from warrior-princess Snow White, but we think Ginnifer is perfect for the part. She already has Jackie's grace, style, and beauty down pat, and we can't wait to see her bounce off of Rob Lowe, who has had quite the resurgence in the last few years.
