As we've reported in the past, Robin Hood is going to return to Once Upon a Time Season 3, but he won't look like Tom Ellis anymore. That part has been recast, and now E! Online reports that the new bow-wielding rebel will be British actor Sean Maguire.

Why the recasting? Simple: The showrunners wanted more Robin Hood, and Tom Ellis wasn't available to play a recurring role. Good thing this new guy is a looker, too!

So, what can we expect from Robin Hood this season? According to E!, he will be in at least four episodes in Season 3, and we can expect him to "reaffirm his alliance with Belle," which makes us think he might pop up in Storybrooke.

While we're interested to learn more about Robin Hood and like the idea of Belle making more friends, we continue to hope the focus remains on the characters we already know and love. Fortunately, according to the showrunners, the new season won't be overflowing with new characters, so it could work out OK.

Catch the Once Upon a Time Season 3 premiere on September 29, 2013 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
