Update: As suspected, Robbie Kay is playing Peter Pan on Once Upon a Time. The big reveal happened toward the end of the Season 3 premiere, in which Henry thinks he's being helped by an escaped Lost Boy, but is actually tricked by Pan himself. Not only is Henry not able to escape because of this, but is immediately surrounded by other Lost Ones and presumably captured, though the screen fades to black before we see him taken.

While we don't know much about Pan yet, he tells Henry that he has been looking for a long time for a true believer; in fact, Henry is the "truest believer" and Pan needs his heart. Uh-oh. We'll have to wait until next week's episode to see what happens next in this twisted version of Neverland.

Original story (July 29, 2013):

A few weeks ago we learned that Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides actor Robbie Kay has been cast as a Lost Boy on Once Upon a Time Season 3, but now SpoilerTV is reporting that Robbie actually has a larger part than that — in fact, they report that he'll be playing Peter Pan himself.

For casting news this big, we're going to wait for official confirmation from one of the showrunners or producers, but we're certainly intrigued by the idea that Robbie could be Peter Pan. He does have an ethereal, elven look that could easily read as creepy in the right context, which could be perfect for Once Upon a Time's twisted version of the character.

Either way, we know we'll meet Peter fairly early in the season, and we can't wait to find out why this classic hero is more of a villain in this version of the story.
