How far will a mother go to save her son? Based on some new spoiler-y statements from Once Upon a Time co-creator Adam Horowitz, we might just find out as Emma scrambles to save Henry on Season 3.

TV Guide reports that Charming and Snow may be forced to set a good example for their daughter, because Adam Horowitz teases that from Emma's point of view, "If the Queen's got a better way to get Henry that may break the law, so be it."

We know that Emma has been willing to ignore the law entirely in her past, and we know she'd do just about anything for Henry, so we're not surprised that she could wind up tempted by less savory methods of saving him. A mom's gotta do what a mom's gotta do.

Adam also notes that Snow, who ended last seasons struggling with her black heart (a plotline that still makes us roll our eyes, but whatever), will have to find "hope" this year. "I think [Snow]'s going to see a lot of darkness and realize that the best thing she can do is return the light to not just her, but to [her] daughter and her husband."
