Once Upon a Time has thrown us for a loop in Season 3. Now that Storybrooke has disappeared and Emma (Jennifer Morrison) has a wonderful life in New York City with Henry (Jared Gilmore), her relationship with both Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) and Neal (Michael Raymond-James) is seemingly in jeopardy. Sure, Hook showed up on Emma’s doorstep in the midseason finale to get her help, but he wasn’t exactly welcomed with open arms. What’s next for Captain Swan?

According to TVLine, Hook is going to have quite the time winning Emma over, which, seeing as how she has no memory of hanging out with fairy tale characters, makes total sense. OUAT co-creator Eddy Kitsis says Emma “will be very wary” of Hook for a while.

“I mean, if someone knocked on your door wearing leather and guyliner and tried to kiss you…? He’s lucky he didn’t get a baseball bat to the heat!” Eddy continued. “Emma’s a tough cookie when she has her memories. So without them, it’s not going to be an easy road for him.” Aww, bummer!

So if Emma can’t remember Hook, does that mean she will connect more with Neal now? If she sees him, she’s bound to remember him since he is Henry’s father. We expect Emma to not forget about her baby daddy. This could mean Swanfire shippers will get a happy ending? With a big death looming on the horizon, things could get really messy.

Do you hope Emma gets with Hook or Neal? Hit the comments and let us know!
