We're getting pretty tired of the Once Upon a Time Season 3 winter hiatus. March 9 can't get here fast enough! If all of the tantalizing spoilers — especially the one teasing a big death — weren't enough to make us impossibly excited for the show's return, the recently released synopsis teasing the second half of the season would do the trick.

The synopsis, which can be found at the official ABC media site, describes the second half of the season like this:
All is not well back in the Enchanted Forest when Hook comes calling on Emma in New York City in an attempt to jog her memory so that she can once again help her fairy tale family and friends out of a desperate situation. Everyone she holds dear is in danger as a new foe emerges — the Wicked Witch of the West (Rebecca Mader, "Lost"). Hook now must enlist Emma in an epic struggle that spans worlds: with the highest stakes possible — the fate of her family. No one remembers how they were transported back or the past year they had spent back in Fairy Tale Land. But someone in town is responsible for this curse, and all clues point to the Wicked Witch of the West, whose agenda in our world is a mystery. In an attempt to break the curse, new fairytale characters will be revealed and old acquaintances will be revisited. But not everyone can be trusted.
Whoa. Sounds. Awesome.
This synopsis reveals several interesting things. Since it refers to the cast being transported "back," it would appear this new curse has made Storybrooke reappear — which makes sense, since we'd seen set photos showing that the town is far from gone.
Second, the characters don't remember what happened to them in the Fairytale Land. That is definitely a twist we didn't see coming; hopefully the blanks will be filled in through flashback.
This setup sounds like a good way to bring the plot closer to the show's original premise, without losing all of the character development and changes we've seen over the past few seasons; we have Storybrooke, we have a curse, and we have a lack of memories — but it sounds like the fairy tale characters will just be missing a year, not their entire identities. Will our heroes be able to break this new curse? How long will it take for Emma to believe again (or, more likely, regain her old memories)? And what, exactly, is the Wicked Witch of the West's deal?
See, we told you we can't wait!
