It's official: This is the show's all-time saddest episode ever! In tonight's Once Upon a Time Season 3, Episode 15 ("Quiet Minds"), Hook and Neal both have messed-up hands, Zelena knows the importance of vitamin C, and we're still sobbing over the ending.

Neal Drops in for a Visit

The ridiculously sad episode begins with our heroes on the lookout for Gold, as they tell Belle that Gold is indeed still alive. And then we see Gold, who is running through the forest. See, people  there's always time for cardio. Zelena wants to find the guy, too, and since she isn't able to summon him with the dagger, she sends one of her monkey minions.

Hook is helping Belle sort through the shop when Neal miraculously appears at the door. He's looking worse for wear and has a weird mark on his hand, so he ends up at the hospital. Neal escapes from his hospital bed to find Henry  but not before Hook and Neal share an adorable bro hug. Gotta love a good bro hug.

Another cute moment takes place as Robin Hood offers to help Snow stop the Wicked Witch. The two are about to share a drink, but then Regina freaks when she sees Robin's lion tattoo. And speaking of drinks, Zelena convinces Snow to quench her thirst with some creepy orange juice.

This Gives New Meaning to "Getting Inside Someone's Head"

David and Emma finally find Gold in the forest, but he's incoherently babbling about the voices in his head before hightailing it out of there again. Soon, Emma bumps into Neal, and the two share a cute scene as they reminisce. If only this episode would turn out better for them than it does. Sigh.

Suddenly, Neal collapses, and Emma realizes that Gold is inside Neal. In fact, don't you just hate it when your dad is occupying your body? Emma realizes that she needs Gold to find out who the Wicked Witch is, so she uses her magic to separate Gold and Neal. Tragically, this means that Neal has to die, and we see him give him necklace to Emma. Gah! Why must you do this to us, OUAT?!

Zelena sees Gold mourning Neal's death, and so she forces Gold back into his cage. So much for letting the guy grieve for a little bit. And then, Emma has to tell Henry that his father is dead. If only Hallmark made a card that said, "Sorry that your dad died while his dad was magically removed from your dad's body."

Don't You Just Hate Sneaky Candelabras?

In this week's Fairytale Land flashback, Neal and Belle team up to save Gold. They meet a talking candelabra named Lumiere, who shows them a key that's hidden in a book, Shawshank Redemption-style. Lumiere claims to have been imprisoned by Rumple — but it turns out he's actually one of Zelena's pawns.

They take the key to the vault, but when Belle realizes who Lumiere is working for, she tries to convince Neal not to use the key. However, Neal does so anyway. The vault causes Gold to reappear, but Neal gets kinda screwed. Gold chooses to hang onto Neal instead of the dagger, which Zelena snatches.

Three Biggest Mysteries of the Night

— We're. So. Not. Happy. Seriously, it was extremely tough to see Emma and Neal say goodbye and to realize that they won't end up together. So does this mean she'll end up with Hook?

— We appear to be headed for a big showdown between our heroes and Zelena next week. So will they manage to defeat her? And how?

— What's going on with that orange juice that Zelena gave Snow? And what does she want with Snow's baby?
