Emma (Jennifer Morrison) has spent the entire spring season of Once Upon a Time Season 3 talking about returning to New York City after sorting out Storybrooke's problems. But there's no way that's happening — right?

Showrunners Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about the finale, and they touched on the question of where Emma will call home when the season is said and done.

"Emma is a character who's looking for home, but because she's never had one she doesn't know what it's like," Edward explained, adding that right now, Emma's best memories are the "fake ones of being in New York." "That's why the finale is called 'No Place Like Home' because we are going to have Emma ask that very question."

One thing that might keep Emma around? A romance with Hook (Colin O’Donoghue). The duo is about to head into the past for what's promising to be a very eventful finale. Will their time together finally force Emma to admit her feelings for the dashing pirate? The showrunners wouldn't say, but Edward did tease that he'd be "depressed" if these two never became more than they are now.
