The Once Upon a Time Season 3 finale is almost here, but until Sunday at 8 p.m. all we can do is speculate. And one thing that we're starting to wonder is this: Will the season end with a previously good guy emerging as a Big Bad for Season 4?

The idea isn't as crazy as it sounds. Why? Well, there are several spoiler-y facts that, when brought together, make us say Hmm...

First, there's the fact that the finale will revolve around Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) traveling to the past, accidently changing something, and then having to put it right before coming home. It's easy to see how this could lead to a plot where they think they've put everything back right, but actually something small was still different, and that ended up sending one character down a very different road, so that when they show up in the present, someone who used to be a hero is a villain.

Plus, when asked by The Hollywood Reporter what kind of evil they might explore next, showrunners Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz noted that "one of the biggest evils we all have is the one inside us," and added, "We said it all the way back in season one. Evil isn't born, it's made and there's always room on the wheel for another spoke. We may be seeing more of that."

What better way to show exactly that than to explore how a different path could turn a previously heroic character bad?

What do you think: Is this twist possible? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
