Great news, Once Upon a Time fans!
After a string of series lows this season, ratings for part one of the epic two-part Season 2 finale (Episode 21, “Second Star to the Right”) were up three percent this week!
Over 7.4 million Oncers tuned in to see Peter Pan’s big reveal on the penultimate episode of the season. The ABC series even scored an impressive 2.2 rating in the coveted 18-49 demo. (And Rumple didn’t even need to broker a deal to get people to tune in!)
If Once Upon a Time’s Season 3 renewal wasn’t a sure thing before, it most definitely is now. While the ratings still aren’t up to par with it’s season high (for comparison, the Season 2 premiere pulled in 11.4 million viewers and a 3.9 in demo), it’s not bad compared to other dramas on TV. The network will most likely make an announcement about OUAT’s fate in the next week.
Are you one of the 7.4 million viewers that tuned in? What did you think of the episode? Will you watch it OUAT gets renewed for a third season? Sound off in the comments!
