The official synopsis for Once Upon a Time Season 2, Episode 10: “The Cricket Game” contains a very disturbing sentence: "Regina is accused of murdering one of the town's most beloved fairytale characters — but only Emma senses that she may be innocent. "

Leaving aside the question of whether or not Regina (Lana Parrilla) is innocent for a moment, let's focus on the key part of this statement for a second: a "beloved fairytale character" is killed? What? Noooooo!

Who could that be? We have a couple of guesses.

Archie Hopper/Jiminy Cricket (Raphael Sbarge): We hate to say this, but the episode title is "The Cricket Game," which suggests Archie will play a large role, and he's awfully beloved. On the other hand, in past interviews Raphael has made it sound like there's a lot of Archie coming up, so that gives us some confidence that he'll survive (unless that was all just clever misdirection...).

Marco/Gepetto (Tony Amendola): The kindly Gepetto/Marco would count as beloved, and Archie's best friend dying could be another reason the episode title seems to focus on him. However, we're hoping this isn't it, since we're still waiting for Marco to be reunited with August (Eion Bailey).

Cinderella (Jessy Schram): OUAT is overflowing with princesses at this point, so if the writers really wanted to go for a big moment, killing off such an iconic character would do the trick — without actually messing up any of the current plot lines, since Cinderella has been MIA this season.

Granny (Beverley Elliott): You know, if they really want to make us cry.

No one: Maybe this is just us being optimistic, but this is actually our top theory right now. After all, the synopsis says that Regina is accused of murder not that a body is found or someone is definitely killed. This wouldn't be the first time in OUAT history that an apparent murder is anything but, and we certainly wouldn't put it past Cora (Barbara Hershey)/Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) — or even Albert Spencer/King George (Alan Dale) or perhaps Mr. Gold/Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) — to frame Regina by kidnapping someone and making it look like she killed them.

If it is a fake murder, we're guessing it will be Archie who appears dead, because of the episode title.
