Regina (Lana Parrilla) has been trying really hard to get back in adoptive son Henry’s (Jared Gilmore) good graces on Once Upon A Time. In Season 2, Episode 14: “Manhattan,” Henry felt betrayed when he discovered his biological mom, Emma (Jennifer Morrison), lied about his father being dead. Henry told Emma “you’re just like her.”

Ouch. Even though the “her” in that sentence is Regina, we couldn’t help but think the crack in Henry and Emma’s relationship is a golden opportunity for Regina to swoop in and be there for Henry. Here’s what Jennifer Morrison told TV Line about that prospect:

“Unfortunately for Regina at this point, she is so wrapped up in her own sort of mess with her mother being in town and the implications of that relationship, and sort of her failing at trying to not use magic, she sort of misses seeing her opportunity [with Henry],” said Jennifer. Too bad, Regina. We were really starting to root for your redemption.

Even though it sounds like Regina and Henry won’t be having a heartwarming reconciliation any time soon, that doesn’t mean their relationship won’t be a focus in upcoming eps.

“[Regina] does make a move to get [Henry] back,” Jennifer further divulged, “but she doesn’t necessarily make the most strategic move, based on the circumstances.”

Sounds like Regina might be up to her old magic tricks again. Someone buy this woman a clue!
