Once Upon a Time’s epic Season 2 finale (Episode 22: “And Straight on ‘Til Morning”) will likely leave us with many questions, but it should also wrap up a few loose ends.

In the first episode of the two-part finale last week, we saw Captain Hook pull young Baelfire out of the sea, saving his life. However, the each has no idea who the other is, and therefore neither has any idea how connected they are. This new sneak peek clip reveals their formal introductions, which are surprisingly hostile considering that set photos showed Hook smiling with Bae.

“Ahoy, there! Aren't you lucky to be alive?” Hook says, greeting Bae.

“Lucky? I'm a prisoner of pirates in a land cursed with magic,” Bae responds, which shocks Hook.

“Most children think they've found paradise when they lay their eyes on Neverland's magic. Why else would you come here in the first place?” he questions.

“I came here so a family I loved could live,” Bae replies matter-of-factly.

And then comes the shocker. When Hook sarcastically says, “Aren't you quite the hero?” Bae exclaims, “A pirate killed my mother and tore apart my family!”

As Hook questions Bae’s father — “He left me. He's a coward.” — there’s a hint of recognition in his voice. “What’s your name, boy?” he asks, and after getting a bit too close for comfort, he gets his answer: “Baelfire.”

Will Hook put two and two together? We’ll just have to wait and see their “complicated" relationship. Check out the clip below, and then hit the comments with your thoughts and theories!
