On Once Upon a Time, we’re used to each character having two counterparts — one in Storybrooke and one in Fairytale Land — but Belle technically has three.

After being locked in Regina’s dungeon, Belle is freed by Jefferson and reunites with her love Rumplestiltskin after the curse broke. However, she was then shot and fell over the town line, in turn losing her memory, and couldn’t recover — Regina gave Belle curse memories, turning her into barfly harlot Lacey.

Now that we’ve learned a bit more about Lacey — including how she brings out the evil side in Rumple, wreaking havoc all over Storybrooke — we have mixed feelings about her. She’s fun and wild, yet condones him beating (and perhaps killing) other people. On the flip side, Belle brings out the good in Rumple, keeping him from being The Dark One and guiding him in the right direction.

Instead of arguing about whether Lacey is right for Mr. Gold and whether she should stay, we’ll hand the reins over to her portrayer, Emilie de Ravin. When a fan asked her if she’s “Team Belle or Team Lacey,” the actress replied, “#Belcey? Gotta say Belle though loving a little #Lacey action. #mixitup #ouat!”

Aww. We have to agree. A little bit of each in moderation works for us, though with Rumple and Belle’s history, part of us leans toward uniting him with his true love.
