Searching for a way home: According to the press release about the episode Emma [Jennifer Morrison] and Mary Margaret [Ginnifer Goodwin], with the aid of Mulan [Jamie Chung], Aurora [Sarah Bolger] and brave knight Lancelot [Sinqua Walls], attempt to find a portal that will bring them back to Storybrooke."
A couple things to note. First, this implies that Mulan and Sleeping Beauty eventually warm up to Emma and Snow, which is a big change of pace from their pit-throwing ways in Episode 2 (though based on this sneak peek it's not an easy transition). Second, it means we meet...
Lancelot! Yep. The most famous knight of the round table makes an appearance in this episode and, like Mulan and Aurora, he's still in Fairytale Land. Given that he apparently has a history with Snow White, our guess is that he's the one who convinces Mulan and Aurora to help our heroines.
Ogres: However, all is not easy with the journey. In the preview for the episode, we learn that they might run into fearsome ogres. Given that the press release for Episode 5: “The Doctor” reveals that in that episode Snow and Emma "discover a lone survivor from an ogre massacre," our guess is that their journey doesn't go smoothly. Apparently getting her gun back doesn't help Emma that much...
In the flashback... According to the press release, the flashback portion of the episode will focus on this: "On the eve of meeting Prince Charming’s [Josh Dallas] mother, King George [Alan Dale] poisons Snow White, and the only antidote lies within the waters of the Lady of the Lake." As we see in the Canadian promo for the episode, the flashback will also involve Charming's mom being in trouble, and Snow's backstory with Lancelot.
In Storybrooke... According to the press release, in Storybrooke "Henry [Jared Gilmore] tries to talk Jefferson [Sebastian Stan] into reuniting with his daughter." And based on the sneak peek photos, Charming gets some major grandpa-grandson bonding time in. But there's bad news: King George is back in Storybrooke.
Last year's puzzle: Ginnifer Goodwin says this is a great episode for Snow, and will involve filling in some of the pieces of "last year's puzzle."
