Once Upon a Time Season 2, Episode 7: “Child of the Moon” gave us a deeper look at one of our favorite characters, Ruby/Red (Meghan Ory). But did the episode do her justice? Read on for Wetpaint Entertainment's review, and then rate it yourself below!

We liked this episode, but we weren't completely head over heels about it. Ruby's (Meghan Ory) backstory, where she met her mother, Anita (Anabeth Gish) and learned how to control her powers, was interesting, but it felt a bit rushed. She learned how to control her wolfish ways awfully quick.

We liked the Storybrooke plot more. Alan Dale continues to be deliciously evil as Albert Spencer/King George, and watching him face off against David Nolan/Prince Charming (Josh Dallas) is always excellent. Ruby's anguish over thinking she had killed Billy was heartbreaking, and it was nice to see Belle (Emilie de Ravin) beginning to build her own friendships. Her belief in Ruby was heartwarming.

And we're interested to see where Henry (Jared Gilmore) and Sleeping Beauty's (Sarah Bolger) linked dreams will lead, especially now that King George has destroyed the hat.

Overall, we give it 3.5 stars. What do you think? Rate it yourself below!
