At the end of the Once Upon a Time Season 2 premiere (Season 2, Episode 1: “Broken”), Regina got her magic back, but Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Mary Margaret (Ginnifer Goodwin) found themselves in a world where magic was everywhere.

Read on only if you’ve seen the OUAT Season 2 premiere and you’re prepared for spoilers from the episode!

Once Emma grabbed Regina’s (Lana Parrilla) arm, infusing magic into the hat, it provided a portal to another world: the destroyed corner of Fairytale Land where Mulan (Jamie Chung), Sleeping Beauty (Sarah Bolger), and Prince Phillip (Julian Morris) were trying to escape. Emma accidentally got sucked into the portal, and Mary Margaret was determined to follow her daughter and never lose her again.

However strange it was to see Mary Margaret and Emma in their Storybrooke clothes, crumpled under some castle debris, the stranger sight was watching Mulan and Sleeping Beauty look at them as if they were the enemy. Mulan made it clear that Regina was their enemy in Fairytale Land, and that everyone had been frozen in time for 28 years until just that moment. Mary Margaret was cursed too, so why would they consider her part of the bad guys?

Either way, mother and daughter are stuck in Fairytale Land, and all we have is David’s faith that he can get them back. Call us mad, but we have a feeling Jefferson (Sebastian Stan) is going to be a big factor in reopening that portal.
