We may ship Rumbelle, but that doesn't mean we want Belle (Emilie de Ravin) to spend every scene with Mr. Gold/Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) and only him. Now that Emilie is a series regular, Belle deserves to make some more friends (or heck, even enemies) of her own.
And based on one very interesting recent tweet, it looks like that's exactly what's going to happen.

Meghan Ory (Ruby/Little Red Riding Hood) recently tweeted this picture of herself and Emilie both looking super cute while with OUAT director Anthony Hemingway, saying, "So wonderful working w amazing brilliant director Anthony Hemingway! We love him!" (Meghan also tweeted a pic of Anthony with Granny [Beverley Elliott].)
We know that Anthony is directing Season 2, Episode 7, which is also supposed to introduce magical new characters Anita (played by Annabeth Gish) and Quinn (played by Ben Hollingsworth). Quinn, at least, has scenes with Ruby and Mary Margaret/Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin), so it sounds like this episode is going to have a lot of our favorite werewolf.
The question is: How does Belle fit in? While it's possible Emilie just happened to be on set at the same time as Meghan, we're guessing this pic means they have at least on scene together.
Has Ruby befriended Belle? They do share a similar rebellious spirit, but would Ruby be willing to team up with Belle if she's still with Mr. Gold? Is Belle still with Mr. Gold? We know they hit a rough patch in Season 2, Episode 4: “The Crocodile,” and it's possible that she's left him by Episode 7 because he hasn't changed his ways. Perhaps she's staying at Granny's Bed and Breakfast, and that's how she makes friends with Ruby?
Or maybe we're totally off track. Perhaps they are only reluctant allies, or not friendly at all. Or maybe Ruby is willing to believe Belle when she says Mr. Gold has a good side.
What do you think: Would you be in favor of a Belle and Ruby friendship?
