One should never forget that Once Upon a Time is headed by some of the same writers who brought us Lost. That means we should always expect twists, turns, and yes — massive cliffhangers.

Entertainment Weekly reports that, according to Jennifer Morrison (Emma Swan), there is a "pretty major cliffhanger" at the end of Season 2, Episode 9: “Queen of Hearts” — which we believe is also the last episode before the winter hiatus.
It sounds like the cliffhanger might revolve around the attempt to get Emma and Mary Margaret/Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) back to Storybrooke without letting Cora (Barbara Hershey) in, too.
However, Raphael Sbarge (Archie Hopper/Jiminy Cricket) hinted that there's "some pretty big, explosive things coming for Archie" as well. Similarly, Raphael told us that fans can expect to see the many different plot lines "converge," leading up to a "huge crescendo that is very shocking and dramatic."
Do you have a theory about what to expect, or are you sitting back and enjoying the ride without trying to guess ahead?
Catch the next new episode of Once Upon a Time on Sunday, November 25 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
