Once Upon a Time music composer Mark Isham just tweeted this picture of Rose McGowan looking glamorous (and devious?) as a young Cora “on her way to the ball.”

Now that Cora’s (Barbara Hershey) in Storybrooke claiming to want to patch things up with daughter Regina (Lana Parrilla), looks like we’ll be learning more about Cora’s past, hopefully including what happened between she and Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) all those years ago. After the kiss they shared in Season 2, Episode 12: “In the Name of the Brother,” one of our burning questions was whether their past relationship was another one of Rumple’s manipulations, or if it was something real.

Looks like we won’t have to wait too long to find out. Our best guess is that Rose’s young Cora will be debuting in Season 2, Episode 16: “The Miller’s Daughter.” Lana tweeted at writer Jane Espenson how excited she was about the episode, so we can’t help but think it’s going to be a good one!

As for Rose, this isn’t her first turn in the magical world. She starred for five seasons as
one of the witchy sisters in Charmed, and played a sorceress in Conan the Barbarian. What do you think? Does she make a good young Cora? What do you think happened between Cora and Rumple? Sound off in the comments below!
