Canadian actor Ben Hollingsworth has been cast as a new Once Upon a Time Season 2 character named Quinn. He’s said to be a warlock with magical powers who was disowned by his parents because they’re all Muggle-ish like that.
The characters of Quinn and fellow magic-user Anita, who will be played by Annabeth Gish, were reportedly cast for Episode 7. We’re guessing Ben was tweeting about that episode yesterday when he wrote, “Having lots of fun working with @meghanrory and @ginnygoodwin today. Talent and kindness go so well together.” And hotness. Just saying.
That tweet makes it sound like Quinn will be hanging out with Mary Margaret/Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Ruby/Little Red Riding Hood (Meghan Ory). Does that mean Snow White gets back to Storybrooke from her magical hat trip to the Enchanted Forest by Episode 7?
The Red thing doesn’t surprise us. When Entertainment Weekly described Anita as a “charismatic, beautiful and mysterious leader of a pack of humans who — like Red — turn out to be wolves” we thought maybe our favorite big bad wolf would be involved with that storyline, with Red and Quinn possibly getting cozy. Why not? If Emma can have multiple suitors this season, Red should be able to — ehm — bond with someone, too.
Catch the next new episode of Once Upon a Time on Sunday, October 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
