As we see in this sneak peek of the Once Upon a Time Season 2 premiere (Season 2, Episode 1: “Broken,” airing September 30), the Charming family reunion isn't all hugs, kisses, and bluebirds.
In the sneak peek, Emma (Jennifer Morrison) seems less-than-ready to embrace Mary Margaret/Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and David Nolan/Prince Charming (Josh Dallas) as her mom and dad, in part because she's focused on dealing with the aftermath of the curse breaking and magic returning, and in part because hey, she was an orphan all her life, and understandably has some abandonment issues.
Is this awkward interaction all Charming family fans have to look forward to next week, or is there there something a little more sentimental in the works, too?

Ginnifer Goodwin spoke to TV Guide at the Emmys red carpet, and dished a little about what we can expect when the family first reunites.
According to Ginnifer, the actual moment of reunion will be "beautiful." Ginnifer actually "cried several times" when she read the scenes, and "had to hold it together" during filming.
We can't say we're surprised. This is Once Upon a Time, after all. Our heroes may be conflicted before and after their big, emotional moments, but those key scenes never fail to impress.
