On Once Upon a Time Season 2, Episode 12: “In the Name of the Brother” we finally got more insight into Dr. Whale's (David Anders) backstory. Most importantly, we met the OUAT-verse version of Frankenstein's monster — his raised-from-the-dead brother Gerhardt (Chad Michael Collins).

Will we be seeing more of this unfortunate soul? Chad Michael Collins recently talked to Hypable, and dished about what it was like to play such an iconic character, and what we can expect from him in the future.

"The director didn’t want it to be a caricature or a parody, he wanted it to be very real and relatable and emotional," Chad Michael explained of playing Frankenstein's "monster." "It’s all very primal, he’s getting back in touch with these basic emotions, and they’re very intense and they’re magnified by his strength and confusion and his fear."

And will we see the monster again? Maybe, maybe not. He hasn't been booked for another appearance yet, but "they told me, basically, ‘keep your cell phone on, because you could be called to come back up at any minute, and people have a way of coming back on this show.’ So we’ll see."
