Jennifer Morrison (Emma) let loose a hint to possibly confirm our speculation that Neverland may be more than just a vacation trip for our favorite fairy tale characters. She recently dished to E! Online about the Season 2 finale setup and how the characters’ new locale will affect their relationships:
"They sort of setup that we are maybe heading to another land. They've teased that at the end of season two," Jennifer told E! Online. "I will be interested to see how we are all impacted by that new land. I think whenever we're in a place where everyone's relationships are impacted by their environment and it heightens the stakes for everyone, it becomes very interesting drama."
We knew that Emma and company were headed to Neverland (possibly to rescue Henry from the clutches of Greg and Tamara), but we weren’t sure how long the gang would be staying. Jennifer’s hint makes it sound like it could be more than just a long weekend away. (Hopefully, long enough to enact our Neverland dream casting.)
We like the possibility that Neverland could bring out new and interesting character dynamics. It is a land of lost children. Could Snow and Charming’s quasi-abandonment of Emma as a baby or Rumple’s full-on abandonment of Neal as a boy come into focus? And there’s always Henry, who was put of for adoption by Emma when he was born (or so we assume). Will Neverland appeal to Henry, the boy who loves fairy tale stories more than anything else? He has been disappointed by his family/fairy tale heroes this season with Snow’s part in killing Cora and Emma’s habit of lying to him. Perhaps he has had enough?
