With the news that Sonequa Martin Green (Tamara) had been promoted to series regular on The Walking Dead, we worried what that might mean for villainess Tamara’s future on Once Upon A Time’. TVLine’s Ask Ausiello had the same concern, and asked OUAT co-creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis about it. What did they have to say?

“The challenge that we’ve faced, both seasons so far, is scheduling,” Adam said. “We don’t want to give away what our plans are for any character, but we’ve been able to work out scheduling in the past.” He added that filming for The Walking Dead picks up just as filming wraps on Season 2 of OUAT

Yay! Sounds like there is a good chance Tamara will survive the two-part Season 2 finale and her apparent Henry-napping to continue as one of the show’s villains. We mentioned before that we think OUAT is in need of some villains that don’t have too close a personal connection to the Charming Family. It makes them so much more dangerous! And Sonequa has done a great job as Storybrooke snake-in-the-grass Tamara.

Edward Kitsis agrees: “Hopefully, things will work out [when it comes to Season 3]. We think she’s done a great job,” he said.

The creators could be trying to throw us off track, but we think there’s a good chance Tamara will be around for Season 3.
