Once Upon A Time co-showrunner Adam Horowitz tweeted the episode title for Season 2, Episode 20, and it’s a classic: “The Evil Queen.”

Sounds like a Regina-centric (Lana Parrilla) episode, though the use of Regina’s Enchanted Forest moniker implies either heavy flashbacks or a return to the dark side for Storybrooke’s recovering magic-holic.

Regina has made great strides this season in giving up magic and trying to be a better mother to Henry (Jared Gilmore). Is this the episode where that hard work pays off? Or is the episode where she decides to give up on trying to win Henry over the old-fashioned way (with love and not crushing people’s hearts) and resorts to magic, lies, and manipulation?

We’ll have to wait to find out, though the recent arrival of Regina’s evil mother, Cora (Barbara Hershey), to Storybrooke certainly points to the former. Going by the next few episode titles - Season 2, Episode 15: “The Queen is Dead” and Season 2, Episode 16, “The Miller’s Daughter” - it sounds like we might learn more about Cora’s past in the next few episodes. Maybe they will shed some light onto Regina’s path.
