Once Upon a Time Season 2, Episode 16: "The Miller's Daughter" will delve into Cora's (Barbara Hershey) backstory, but she's not the only character featured in the flashback. This episode gives us the OUAT twist on the classic version of the Rumpelstiltskin tale — where the Rumpelstiltskin character agrees to spin straw into gold in exchange for a miller's daughter's first born child  — and you better bet Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) plays an important part in the episode.

How important? Writer Jane Espenson, who penned the episode, recently spoke to Once Upon a Fan, and she dished some spoilers about Rumple's role in the upcoming episode.

"The title of the episode, at least this time, is not a mislead," she confirmed. "This is, in fact, our version of the traditional 'Miller's Daughter' story, which is Rumple's signature story."

And that's not all! She notes that "Rumple has moments with at least three separate characters that will put a lump in your throat.  So... three lumps."

Having seen the episode ourselves, we can confirm that Rumple is a key figure in several moving moments, including one that did more than put a lump in our throat — it made us tear up.
