Get ready to howl with excitement, Little Reds!
Once Upon a Time Season 2 will get its wolf on during Episode 7 (airing November 11), which will be called "Child of the Moon." It sounds like a good one for Ruby/Little Red Riding Hood (Meghan Ory). Here is the TV listing: "Ruby's fear about turning into a wolf is confirmed when she becomes the prime suspect for a vicious murder; Leroy finds treasure in a Storybrooke mine that could help Emma and Mary Margaret."
First of all, go Grumpy! It's about time someone in Storybrooke had a lead on helping Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Mary Margaret/Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin). This separation is giving us anxiety.
On to the wolf part. We already know two characters being introduced this episode are a sorceress named Anita (Annabeth Gish) and a warlock named Quinn (Ben Hollingsworth). Anita was described as “charismatic, beautiful and mysterious leader of a pack of humans who — like Red — turn out to be wolves.” Actor Ben Hollingsworth tweeted about working with Meghan Ory and Ginnifer Goodwin, which makes it sound like Quinn has scenes with Red and Snow.
Would they have to appear in flashbacks to Fairytale Land, since present day Snow is separated from Ruby/Red? And what murder?! Who dies — and is it in flashback or present day?
Also, as if things weren't confusing enough, Hypable added that actor Jarod Joseph will return as Storybrooke mechanic Billy in this episode, and we’ll learn his Fairytale Land character identity. Any guesses?
UPDATE: ABC released new details about the episode on October 22. Here is the full-length synopsis.
"Ruby’s fear about turning into a wolf during the first curse-free Storybrooke full moon is confirmed when one of the town’s residents is viciously murdered, and Ruby is the prime suspect; Decker – aka King George – threatens to expose David as a shepherd, not a prince, and not fit to run the town as sheriff; and Leroy stumbles upon some treasure in the Storybrooke mine that could help bring Mary Margaret and Emma back into our world. Meanwhile, in the fairytale land that was, Red Riding Hood finds a kindred spirit in Anita (Annabeth Gish), a charismatic and mysterious leader of a pack of humans who, like Red, turn out to be wolves."
Catch the next new episode of Once Upon a Time on Sunday, October 21 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
