Once Upon a Time Season 2 doesn't come back until 2013 (it returns on January 6), and every second we have to wait is painful.

Fortunately, we have spoilers to help us through the wait, including the official synopsis for Season 2, Episode 12: “In the Name of the Brother” (January 20) which is about one of our favorite secondary characters.

Apparently Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) has been injured in the current storyline, because Dr. Whale (David Anders) "is tasked with mending [his] wounds" — and also with "performing surgery on the stranger whose car crashed upon entering Storybrooke." We're guessing that's Ethan Embry's character, and it sounds like the crash takes place during Season 2, Episode 11: “The Outsider.”

However, "some of the townspeople fear that the stranger may have seen magic which could expose their true identities to the world and think that leaving him to die would be the best solution." Uh, pretty sure that's not the correct moral choice, guys.

It sounds like there's some trouble in Rumbelle land, because in this episode Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle) "tries to reunite with a despondent Belle [Emilie de Ravin]." Speaking of reunions, Cora (Barbara Hershey) also "attempts" to reunite with Regina (Lana Parrilla), which we assume goes poorly.

In the flashback, Frankenstein "desperately wants to prove to his disapproving father that he can, indeed, bring back the dead." Hmmm ... does that mean we will be seeing his brother in an undead form?
