Updated to include full length synapsis from ABC.
If you weren't already excited to meet Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) on Once Upon a Time Season 2, the first look we got of this hot, eye-linered character in the most recent promo probably changed your mind.
And don't worry — if for some reason you aren't as enamored of this new baddie as we are, the new synapsis of his first episode, Season 2, Episode 4: “The Crocodile,” offers plenty of non-Hook excitement, too.

It sounds like it's going to be Mr. Gold/Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) heavy. In Storybrooke (presumably), "Belle [Emilie de Ravin] disgust over Mr. Gold’s continuing thirst for power comes to a head, and she threatens to leave him if he can’t change his evil ways." Good luck with that, dearie. Gold/Rumple may try to be good for Belle's sake, but we're guessing it'll take more than a few episodes for the Dark One to change his stripes.
Speaking of Belle, "a reunion with an old acquaintance could prove to be [her] undoing." That sounds ominous. Could it be a reference to Regina (Lana Parrilla)? The only other characters we know Belle knows are a) her family and Gaston (not exactly just "acquaintances") and b) the dwarves, who are good, so why would they be her "undoing"?
Meanwhile, in the flashback, "Rumplestiltskin attempts to save his wife, Milah, from being kidnapped by a band of cutthroat pirates." Presumably one of said pirates is Hook. We've been excited to meet Rumple's wife since we first heard she was making an appearance, so this episode sounds right up our alley.
In non-Rumple news, back in Storybrooke the dwarves "try to find fairy dust in the Storybrooke mine." In the Season 2 premiere (Season 2, Episode 1: “Broken”) The Blue Fairy (Keegan Connor Tracy) mentioned that she can't do magic without a wand or fairy dust. Are they trying to find it so she and the other fairies can regain their powers — perhaps to fight Gold and/or Regina?
Jennifer Morrison (Emma Swan) has also warned that Emma isn't in this episode at all, which should create an interesting dynamic.
Also of note: The ABC press release refers to Colin O’Donoghue's character as Killian Jones. Hook's real name? Storybrooke name? Either way, we like it. Plus, Cora (Barbara Hershey) is in the episode. Interesting...
