After the next two episodes of Once Upon a Time, which will focus on Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Ruby/Little Red Riding Hood (Meghan Ory) respectively, how will Emma and Mary Margaret/Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) make their way from present-day Fairytale Land back to Storybrooke? As we suspected, things are going to get a lot more intense, and an unlikely trio of Storybrooke residents will put aside their differences to help.

SpoilerTV revealed the episode synopses for Season 2, Episode 8: “Into the Deep” (airing November 25) and Season 2, Episode 9: “Queen of Hearts” (airing December 2). In “Into the Deep,” Cora will try to “steal the compass from Emma and Mary Margaret,” while “Regina [Lana Parrilla] and Mr. Gold [Robert Carlyle] must put David’s [Josh Dallas] life in danger in hope that he will contact Mary Margaret.”

We can’t say we’re surprised that the evil Cora (Barbara Hershey) will attempt to thwart Snow and Emma’s plan, but we are surprised to hear that Mr. Gold and Regina will be working together. Do they resolve their differences in previous episodes?

In “Queen of Hearts,” Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) will apparently rejoin Cora’s dark side, as the two of them “face off with Emma and Mary Margaret in a race for the compass,” and “Mr. Gold and Regina plan to kill anyone who enters the portal.”

As we know from previous spoilers, Emma and Mary Margaret will eventually wind up back in Storybrooke, so the question is, Do Cora and Hook sneak in with them? We would really love to see a cliffhanger in which Cora and Hook show up unexpectedly in contemporary clothes at Granny’s diner.

Also, we’re pretty happy to hear that Mr. Gold, Regina, and David will find a way to work together for a common goal. Regina has changed ever since Henry appealed to her kinder side, and the loss (again) of Daniel may even turn her into a softie.
