Once Upon a Time co-creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis recently had a spoiler-y talk about Neverland with TV Guide. Which Neverland-inspired characters can we expect on the show — and when? Read on to find out!

Apparently, Hook’s return at the end of last week’s episode (Season 2, Episode 19: “Lacey”) does not necessarily signal the introduction of Neverland ... but that doesn’t mean a trip to Neverland is off the table, and we'll almost certainly see it in flashback. Will we be seeing Rufio, the red-and-black-mohawked bad boy of Hook fame, on the storied island?

“At this point, everyone has asked us about Rufio,” said Eddy. "Our entire writers' room is pitching Rufio. I don't know whether or not that is property of Sony."

Adam agreed that, whichever studio owns the character, OUAT will probably not be able to get the rights. However, he added, “We love Rufio and we wish he could be a part of this show. In our minds, he exists in the show whether you see him or not.”

Cue the Internet memes photoshopping Rufio into our favorite OUAT scenes. Make it happen, Tumblr. (You don’t remember Rufio being in the car Emma “stole” from Neal in “Tallahassee”? Look again.)

Fans of the classic Peter Pan character Tinker Bell have better news. Adam and Eddy confirmed that the mischievous fairy will be appearing next season. Yay! We encourage them to use our Neverland dream casting as a jumping off point for Season 3 casting.

Are you sad to hear Rufio will probably not be waiting for us in Neverland? Does the Tinker Bell confirmation do anything to temper your sorrow? Let us know in the comments below!
