Once Upon A Time’s Meghan Ory (Ruby/Red Riding Hood) has been cast in Intelligence, a new CBS pilot co-starring Lost hottie Josh Holloway. The series will tell the story of an agent (Holloway) who has had a microchip implanted in his head that enables him to access the entire electromagnetic spectrum. Meghan will play Riley O’Neill, an ex-Secret Service agent tasked with protecting him (Chuck, anyone?).

As Ruby, the Canadian actress was a recurring OUAT cast member in the first season, but was promoted to series regular for the second season. According to Deadline, the promotion was in part due to the pilot interest Meghan received last year. The article is vague on the subject, but if the pilot is picked up, it seems like the actress might be able to hold both roles?: “For Ory, who is a regular on Once, Intelligence is in first position. Both Once and Intelligence are produced by ABC Studios, which allowed the flexibility.” However, we’re not sure if that is physically possible given the demands of a television show.

We love Meghan as conflicted, yet kind-hearted Ruby on OUAT, but we have to admit she hasn’t had nearly enough to do this season. The episode in which the whole town (excluding Charming and including Ruby herself) thought Ruby had eaten Gus was awesome, but it has been the only storyline she has had the chance to sink her teeth into (pun intended) all season.

Hopefully, this pilot doesn’t mean we lose Ruby. We are still kind of shipping Ruby/Whale and, if Ruby’s not around, who is going to babysit Henry when the Charmings are off saving the world? Then again, who can blame the girl for wanting to hang out with Josh Holloway on a daily basis?

How do you think Intelligence sounds? Would you miss Ruby on OUAT? Let us know in the comments below!
