Apparently, ABC officials misspoke when they originally announced at upfronts that Once Upon a Time would be getting 24 episodes in its third season. The fairy tale adventure series will have 22 episodes in Season 3 — the same number as in its first two seasons.

We adore Once Upon a Time here at Wetpaint Entertainment, but we've also made no secret of the fact that we found Season 2 a bit of a letdown.
