There have been quite a few beloved characters who have had their stories come to an end on Once Upon a Time too soon, but the one that hits the hardest is definitely Jamie Dornan (Sheriff Graham). And just to dig into our souls a little more, the Powers That Be opened up to Access Hollywood about their failed attempt to bring Jamie back sometime in Season 3.
“Last year, when he did Welcome to Storybrooke for us, it was fantastic to have him come back,” co-executive producer Eddy Kitsis told Access Hollywood of the Season 2 flashback episode. “He’s a friend of ours, he’s a friend of the show, and, unfortunately, this year, he goes right from [Fifty Shades] to The Fall.”
Be still, our beating hearts.
But how would Eddy and Adam Horowitz have worked out the storyline for this season? “Ask us that after the finale,” Eddy continued. “And then we will tell you exactly what we wanted to do and then you will be so bummed that we didn’t get to do it, and then you will have the same look on your face that I do right now, which is sadness.”
Sigh. Basically this is the most tragic news we’ve heard in quite a while — even worse than the fact that someone important will die at the end of this season.
As soon as Jamie’s schedule clears up, we hope he heads right back over to OUAT for at least one more flashback.
