One Direction is taking some much needed time off, but it sounds like their fans aren’t quite understanding that they’re off the clock.
Liam Payne has been enjoying his time home by hanging out with friends — and visiting the top of a building with a really pretty city view. Liam posted a photo from the balcony, and then instantly realized that it could lead to a dangerous situation for some of his fans who might want to recreate the picture.
“You may have seen a photo of me taken today taken on top of a building,” Liam tweeted after deleting the photo. “I regret being there and having a photo taken. It was a stupid and irresponsible thing to do. I am sorry, and do not endorse any fans trying to repeat this, as it is extremely dangerous.”
But that wasn’t the end of Liam’s troubles. When friends started posting photos on social networking sites while they were hanging out with Liam that gave away the location of his house, fans started showing up in droves and demanding to take photos with the 20-year-old boybander.
“I know my friends have tweeted a lot of pictures of my house the past few days, but can people please stop coming and waiting outside?” he tweeted. “I’d just like to be able to walk outside as everyone does and enjoy time with my friends, not feel bad for not wanting to take a picture. Sorry if I’ve been rude to anyone but I’ve come to realise if I take one picture more people keep coming everyday.”
In the past, Directioners have been known to go to great lengths to get to their favorite musicians — and this hasn’t been the first time the boys have taken to Twitter to remind them to respect their privacy and to avoid dangerous behavior while in hot pursuit of Harry, Niall, Liam, Louis, and Zayn. Remember the time Niall had to ask them to stop chasing his cab?
Poor Liam. We hope the rest of your break goes smoothly than it has so far!
