Coffee addicts got a real jolt earlier today (February 4) when The Daily Star reported One Direction is opening its very own chain of worldwide coffee shops.

According to The Star, the java joints will be covered in band memorabilia and serve as a meeting place for the group’s droves of fans. The pub even says the flagship store will open its doors next week in Shibuya, Japan, with another location to open in the boys’ home base of London if all goes well abroad.

This could become the lads’ version of Planet Hollywood,” insiders tell the Daily Star. “That chain was backed by stars such as Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, and Arnold Schwarzenegger when it launched in 1991.”

But sadly, 1Ders, this caffeine-fueled craze is likely just a rumor. A rep for the band tells Entertainmentwise the story’s “untrue” and that Starhunks (our suggested title for the chain) isn’t actually a thing. The Daily Mail story covering the news also looks to have disappeared from the publication’s website, adding an extra shot to this particular cappuccino of deception.

The boys’ official One Direction Twitter has yet to comment on the matter. Last we heard all five were taking a much-needed break before gearing up to continue their plan of world domination, coffee chain not included.
